Approach

A golf course is a living ecosystem.

Conceived with vision, built with precision, maintained with knowledge.

Aerial view of a green ringed by bunkers and a lake, with the course and mountains beyond

What ultimately determines a golf course's success is the quality, consistency and appeal of its playing surfaces — and, just as much, its ability to work as a profitable business and a memorable experience.

IDM Golf brings together some of the most experienced and widely respected greenkeepers in Spain — professionals with international careers and a shared purpose: keeping every course in the best possible condition to be enjoyed, and turning that enjoyment into value for the club and its members.

Striking that balance takes both science and sensitivity: agronomic rigour, responsible use of resources and deep respect for the natural setting.

That is why we act as a strategic partner across the entire life cycle of the course. We help owners and developers create courses that not only play well, but perform well as a business: places that inspire golfers, respect their surroundings, keep members loyal and stand the test of time.

Services

One point of contact, from the first routing line to the last green fee.

You can bring us in for a single phase or for all of them. Each service hands over cleanly to the next, so nothing gets lost between teams.

Course life cycle

PHASE 01 · BEFORE BUILDING

Project review

We assess the construction or remodelling project before it is built, so that design and materials support efficient maintenance. Catching a problem on the plan costs far less than fixing it in the ground.

PHASE 02 · CONSTRUCTION

Project management

Technical direction from initial planning through on-site supervision, so every phase is delivered to the most demanding standards in design, agronomy and operational performance.

PHASE 03 · OPENING

Grow-in

We coordinate the handover from construction to day-to-day maintenance. Grow-in is the critical window: it decides whether the turf reaches its full playing potential and durability from day one.

PHASE 04 · IN PLAY

Maintenance

Two levels of involvement, depending on what your club needs: technical direction over your own crew, or full maintenance under our responsibility.

PHASE 05 · BUSINESS

Operations & commercial

Full club direction beyond the course itself: people, daily operations, member and visitor experience, and the commercial strategy behind green fees, memberships and sponsorship.

Phase 04 · Level 1

Maintenance direction

We build the maintenance strategy around your real conditions — climate, turf species, water resources and budget — and work with your crew to plan tasks and optimise inputs. The team stays yours; the strategy we build together.

Phase 04 · Level 2

Full-service maintenance

We take on the full technical, operational and administrative management of maintenance, from the annual plan to daily execution. You focus on running the club; we answer for playing conditions.

Cross-cutting services

Available at any point in the cycle, on their own.

Training

Tailored theory-and-practice programmes for maintenance crews, management and member-facing staff: modern greenkeeping, sustainable management and cross-team coordination.

Technical analysis

With the Fitosoil laboratory, data-driven agronomic diagnosis:

  • Physico-chemical, microbiological and pesticide-residue analysis.
  • Agronomic water quality, on greens and fairways.
  • Soil and sand quality on greens, tees and bunkers.
  • Leaf-tissue analysis to fine-tune fertilisation programmes.

Custom equipment

Design and manufacture in Spain of bunker rakes, hole rings and complete course signage, by an engineering team working alongside practising greenkeepers.

Course design

Krause Golf Design — IDM Partnership

A partnership created to conceive courses that are more enjoyable, more sustainable and more profitable, combining creativity, technical judgement and agronomic understanding.

Every course has to balance playability, aesthetics and operational efficiency. Our design approach sharpens strategy and player enjoyment, lowers maintenance costs and respects the natural character of the site.

The result is courses that evolve with the game: places that encourage sporting excellence and hold their profitability over the long term.
