Privacy policy

This site collects very little. There is no form, no registration, and no cookie is set unless you allow it. Here is what we handle, why, and what you can require of us.

What data we handle
The site asks for nothing on its own. We only handle personal data in two situations:
- When you write or call. We handle whatever you choose to give us: your name, email address, telephone number, the club or company you represent and the content of your message.
- When you accept the analytics cookie. Google Analytics then records browsing data: pages viewed, time spent, device and browser type, and an approximate location derived from your IP address. We do not use any of it to identify individuals.
Why, and on what legal basis
| Purpose | Legal basis |
|---|---|
| Answering your enquiry and continuing the commercial conversation that follows from it | Your own request, as a step prior to a possible contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) |
| Managing our relationship with clients and suppliers | Performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) |
| Measuring how the site is used so we can improve it | Your consent, which you may withdraw at any time (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) |
| Meeting tax and accounting obligations | Legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR) |
We make no automated decisions and build no profiles from your data.
How long we keep it
Correspondence is kept for as long as there is mutual interest and, after that, for the limitation periods set by law. Client data is kept throughout the contractual relationship and for the six further years required by the Spanish Commercial Code. Analytics data is kept for a maximum of fourteen months.
Who else sees it
We neither sell nor share personal data. It is accessed only by our processors, and only as far as they need it to provide their service: the provider hosting this website, our email service provider, and Google Ireland Limited, which provides the analytics service.
We will also disclose data to public authorities where the law requires it.
Transfers outside Europe
Analytics means Google may process data on servers outside the European Economic Area, mainly in the United States. Those transfers rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework adequacy decision and, failing that, on the standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission.
If you reject the analytics cookie, no transfer takes place.
Your rights
You may ask us at any time to give you access to your data, to correct it, to erase it, to restrict how we use it, or to hand it over in a reusable format. You may also object to processing and withdraw any consent you have given, without affecting what was done beforehand.
Just write to felix@idm-golf.com saying which right you wish to exercise. We may ask you to prove your identity. We will reply within one month.
If you feel your request was not handled properly, you may complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (C/ Jorge Juan, 6, 28001 Madrid · www.aepd.es).
Security
We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access, and we review those measures whenever our systems or suppliers change.
Cookies
A cookie is a small file that a website stores on your device so it can recognise it on later visits.
This site sets no cookie automatically. The first time you arrive you will see a notice with two equally accessible options, accept or reject. Nothing loads until you choose. If you reject, the site works exactly the same.
If you accept, these two analytics cookies are set:
| Name | Owner | Lifetime | What it does |
|---|---|---|---|
_ga |
2 years | Tells one visitor from another so the same person is not counted twice | |
_ga_7QZW5HPNTK |
2 years | Keeps track of the session state during a visit |
Your choice is stored in the browser's local storage under the key
idm-cookies. It is not a cookie, it never leaves your device, and it only
exists so we do not have to ask again on every visit.
Changing your mind
You can decide again at any time from the Cookies link in the footer of any page: the notice reappears and your new choice replaces the old one. You can also clear cookies and site data from your browser settings, or block them outright.
Changes to this policy
This policy may change if our processing changes or the law does. The version in force is always the one published on this page, carrying the update date shown at the top.
